Tuesday, September 29: The Ph.D in Communications Program - An Introduction 


Join Professor Andie Tucher, Director of the Ph.D. in Communications, for an in-depth conversation about the curriculum of the program, which offers doctoral students a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the relationships between people and media in their cultural, social, political, historical, economic and technological contexts.

Stabile), about what investigative journalism is - and how Columbia trains its students to hold institutions and individuals accountable through investigative reporting.

Wednesday, October 7: The Heist - Inside the New Investigative Podcast


Go behind the scenes of the new Center for Public Integrity investigative podcast series The Heist, with host, co-executive producer and Columbia Journalism School professor Sally Herships, reporter and alumnus Andrés Caballero ('11 M.S.), and co-executive producer Mei Fong. Their talk will be moderated by Cardiff Garcia ('06 M.S.), the co-host of NPR's The Indicator. 

Thursday, October 8: The Master of Arts Program - An Introduction


Join a conversation with Nicholas Lemann, Professor and Dean Emeritus, and Jane Eisner, Director of Academic Affairs, about the overall curriculum of the Master of Arts Program, which gives experienced journalists the opportunity to take their reporting to the next level by providing them expert training in one of four subject-area concentrations: Arts and Culture, Business and Economics, Politics, or Science.

Are you interested in learning how Columbia Journalism School graduates have forged successful career paths in the broadcast television and podcasting worlds?  Please join us for a conversation with Lisa Ammerman ('00 M.S.) and Eric Salat ('99 M.S.), who have led distinguished careers in television news and entertainment, and who are now launching DRAFTED, a new docuseries podcast hosted by Keegan-Michael Key that takes a raw, honest look at what it takes to go from childhood dreamer to college star to entering the 2020 NFL draft.  You can listen to DRAFTED here
