As a Columbia master's degree student, you are guaranteed to be taking classes with some of the most distinguished journalists in the world. Our faculty are not just accomplished reporters and storytellers - they are also gifted and dedicated teachers who are constantly innovating their courses to provide students with the most up-to-date and valuable training. Professor Ari Goldman ('73 M.S.) was recently named one of the Columbia University Provost’s Senior Faculty Teaching Scholars. In that role, Professor Goldman will have the opportunity to create a vision and plan for supporting, changing and innovating the culture of teaching and learning within the Journalism School.  Learn more below about Professor Goldman and his legendary Master of Science class "Covering Religion," in which students will have the opportunity to travel to other countries or states to report on religious practice.
