As a Columbia Journalism School master's degree student, you can take advantage of the expertise of our Career Development staff, who will offer you one-on-one career counseling and who will organize dozens of networking events that connect students with employers, including our Career Expo, the largest journalism career fair in the U.S. - which is open only to current J-School students. The Career Development team's goal is to help students quickly launch - or accelerate- careers in the profession. For example, since graduating in May 2023 from the Master of Science Program, Tamia Fowlkes reported as a general assignment intern at the Washington Post, and then joined the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a full-time public investigator reporter.
