Friday Chronicles - Seventh Edition

As a Columbia Journalism School master's program student, you will receive hands on-training from our world-class professors, who will work with you as though you are a professional journalist at a leading news organization.  From day one, our faculty will provide you with the mentorship and rigorous feedback that will teach you to report and produce journalism that can be held to the highest professional standards. And, when you develop stories of importance, our faculty can often work with you to help share them with the wider public. Recently, Sarah Cutler, a 2023 Master of Science Stabile Investigative Specialization graduate, published a major story in The New York Times based on her master's project about the detention of undocumented migrants at the U.S. border.  Professor Steve Eder, her master's project adviser and a New York Times reporter, helped her pitch the story to the Times, and also worked with her to continue building out the reporting to prepare the story for publication.
